Workout trackers for training around an injury.

It depends on who's guiding your recovery. If a clinician is prescribing and monitoring your exercises, use PhysiApp, the app they assign them through. For self-guided rehab and prehab programs, The Prehab Guys has a large library of programs and videos. If nothing hurts, Strong and Hevy are excellent loggers.

Kingtide is for the space in between: you want a normal lifting tracker that adapts to what hurts and folds in the sheet your physio gave you.

Kingtide

Pick Kingtide if you want a normal lifting tracker that adapts to what hurts. It logs every set like any tracker. Mark an area on the body map and it swaps the movements that aggravate it for ones that don't, keeps the rest of your session, and tells you why it changed each one. Then it walks you back: protect, reintroduce, full load. Photograph the exercise sheet from your physio and those exercises go into your week. It imports screenshots or a CSV from Strong or Hevy, needs no account, and keeps your injury notes on your phone.

Where it loses: it's new (on the App Store since August 2026), it costs more than Strong or Hevy, it doesn't log sets on the Watch, and it doesn't replace a clinician. It's not a physical therapy app.

Strong

Pick Strong if nothing hurts and you want the quickest plain logger. It has been on the App Store since 2011, is rated 4.9 from about 109,000 US ratings, and has a full Apple Watch app that logs with or without your iPhone. It has no injury or rehab features that we found. Read Kingtide vs Strong.

Hevy

Pick Hevy if you train with friends and want a low price. It has a social feed, exercise videos, Apple Watch and Wear OS support, and is rated 4.9 from about 95,000 US ratings. Its paid Trainer generates programs and can account for injuries you select by replacing high-risk exercises or adding a warning. It doesn't take in a physio's exercises. Read Kingtide vs Hevy.

PhysiApp

Pick PhysiApp if a clinician is prescribing and monitoring your exercises. It's the patient side of Physitrack: your healthcare provider assigns the program and gives you an 8-letter code to log in. You get narrated videos, reminders, offline access, and you can report back how much you did and whether you felt any pain. It's free to you. It isn't a gym logger, and you can't use it without a clinician's program.

The Prehab Guys

Pick The Prehab Guys if you want self-guided rehab and prehab content. Its app lists 55+ programs, 100+ follow-along classes led by a Doctor of Physical Therapy or a strength coach, a 4,000+ exercise video library, a BodyScan intake that suggests a program, and exercises you can swap for an alternative. It costs the most here, and it's built around its programs rather than logging your own routine.

Using two together

You can. A clinician's program in PhysiApp and your training in a lifting app is a sensible split. If you'd rather have it in one place, Kingtide can take a photo of the sheet your physio gave you and build those exercises into your training week.
