FAQ
Questions about Kingtide.
Kingtide is a workout tracker for people whose bodies hurt. It logs every set, and when you tell it what's sore it rebuilds the session around it, so you keep training instead of stopping. It's on iPhone and Android, the first fourteen workouts are free, and it isn't a physical therapy app.

What happens after the 14 free workouts?
Your plan and your logged history stay yours. You can still open your plan, look back through your history, export it and log injuries. Starting new sessions needs Kingtide Pro, monthly or yearly, which removes the limit.
Do I need an account?
No. No account, no sign-up, no email address.
What if I lose my phone?
Everything lives on your phone, not on a server, so there's no account to sign back into. Kingtide doesn't opt out of your phone's own iCloud or Google backup. You can also export your history as a CSV from Progress, workouts already saved to Apple Health or Health Connect stay there, and Pro comes back with Restore on the same store account.
Does it work with Apple Watch?
Yes, alongside your iPhone. Tap Start on your iPhone and Kingtide starts the workout on your Apple Watch for you, showing time, heart rate and active calories, and saving the workout to Apple Health. You log sets on the phone, and Apple Health needs to be connected in Kingtide. There's no Wear OS app.
Can I import my Strong or Hevy routine?
Yes. Screenshots from Strong or Hevy, a CSV export, a whiteboard or a photo of paper. Kingtide reads it on your phone, keeps your days, sets, reps and weights, and shows you what it read so you can fix anything before it becomes your week.
Is this medical advice?
No. Kingtide is not medical advice and is not a substitute for a doctor or a physical therapist. If something is genuinely injured, go and see one.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Pro is an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store or Google Play. Turn it off in your store's subscription settings and it stops at the end of the period you've paid for. Everything you logged is kept.
Is Kingtide a physical therapy app?
No. Kingtide is a workout tracker that works around pain. It logs your sets like any tracker, rebuilds the session around what's sore, and folds in the exercise sheet your physio or physical therapist gave you. It doesn't diagnose anything, prescribe treatment or replace your physio.
Does it work on Android?
Yes. Kingtide is on Google Play for Android and on the App Store for iPhone. The Apple Watch companion works alongside an iPhone. There's no Wear OS app.
Can I use it without a PT?
Yes. Mark what's sore on the body map and Kingtide trains around it. A rehab sheet is optional: if you have one, photograph it and those exercises go into your week. If something is genuinely injured, see a doctor or a physical therapist.
How is it different from Strong or Hevy?
All three log your sets. Strong and Hevy are built for logging and routines, and they're good at it. Kingtide logs too, and when you tell it what hurts it swaps the movements that aggravate it, keeps the rest of your session, tells you why, and walks you back to full load. It also imports screenshots or a CSV from Strong or Hevy. There's a full comparison for each.
Does my injury data leave my phone?
No. The body map, pain notes and imported routine live on your device, not on a server. There's no account. Anonymous usage analytics and crash reports are the only things that leave the phone, and a switch in Profile turns those off too.
What does it cost?
Fourteen full workouts are free. After that, the plan, history, export and injury logging stay free; starting new sessions needs Kingtide Pro. Kingtide Pro is $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year in the US. Yearly saves 50%. Your store shows your local price.
